Here is what happened: A: I didn't finish them over the two-week Spring Break I started them in. There was a waaaaay bigger response than I thought there would be, and while I HIGHLY ENCOURAGED IT and was very excited to have so many people interested, I overestimated myself on my first shot at commissions. B: In order to keep up with my final quarter in college once it got started and to get the grades I needed (Straight A's - which I achieved, it was not for naught), I couldn't afford to split my concentration between school, applying for graduate school, finding an apartment, AND commissions. (If you want to see some proof of work, this is my senior project.) C: Thus, most people did not get their commissions. D: Then, After I graduated, I ~MOVED~ and that was exhausting. E: MGS4 came out. I have no excuse for two weeks of nothing. :( F: Job hunt was stressful and painful and I FINALLY HAVE MY FIRST JOB WORKING AS A SEARS SALES ASSOCIATE!!! but that took some time. G: I found two abandoned kittens outside and had to make them mine (no lie). H: I am a hooker. I SOMEHOW got the replacement for my tablet, thanks HUGELY to everyone that I completed a commission for (and friends crazy enough to pay me in advance despite major warnings to Not Do That in case the above happened), people's gifts and generosity, and thanks to my parents' graduation gift. Yaaay!! Goal achieved!! It was actually enough to buy a cintiq. So now I have a cintiq. I spent like, a month, freaking out. I don't think the truth of this has sunk in yet. I am finally settled again! Not unpacked still, because I'm a hobo, but school is over (until grad I have a steady job, an apartment, finals are over, and overall I am in Quiet Time that was very hard-earned. It is very, very late, but I can finally do commissions. (And need the extra income to boot.) THEREFORE. IF I HAVE NOT BETRAYED YOUR HEARTS. And go see Speed Racer. Take Beau to see Speed Racer. It was totally good and pretty and gorgeous and fun and they said lame words and it didn't even bother me it was awesome. I don't know why it is getting such bad reviews because... these reviewers have... have no ounce of shounen spirit. Okay, you won't get that. They have... never loved... anything ever. And it's incredibly visually striking and pretty. Oh wait okay so you may want to take um, take your motion sickness pill.
