Well I finished my 10-page critique of Marilyn Diptych on time, only I have no idea how that will go because I switched topics 3/4ths into the quarter so the prof didn't give me any outline checkpoint green lights, hau hau hau
I think I'm only going to get Bs this quarter. :\ Unless I somehow do exceptionally well on that paper which I doubt. IT SUCKS. I need to ace all my classes next time to make up for it. But GRRGH CAN'T GET A IN INKING CLASS BECAUSE LOWE IS A TOUGH GRADER GRRGH!! But I can't really complain, we self-grade our final projects annnd I'd give myself a B. My inking's super improved, but it still ain't commercial grade. I'm okaaaay with it, mostly because I have redefined what getting grades in this school actually means to me versus productivity. I did very well in Inking - I'm not scared of it anymore, and I think I'm actually starttting to get the hang of it. That's more valuable! AN A WOULD BE NICE. But I'm not quite A-work yet. But I will beeee.
MUST GET BACK TO WORK I just came onto the computer to eat my food and put on music. Oh how the silence is deafening when you are inking.

passed my review
it's funny cuz I was late because I thought I was noon and wasn't sob I was 11:30. and I thought I got there 15 minutes early. I HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED A PANIC ATTACK 8| And since I was late, I got ALL THE TEACHERS DOIN THE REVIEW \o/ that....happened to be every single teacher i care about minus duncan hau hauhau, mark and goto and gildersleeve and dove and hudson
Anyway they have a list of things like. STYLE and STORYTELLING ORIGINALITY and COMPOSITION and PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE and ACADEMIC ATTITUDE, ranked on like a 5-system. like. bad -> poor -> average <- good <- excellent. I think. You line up all your work and leave the room and they grade you.
Passed, but didn't get a single excellent. orz. Not even a lot of "good." S-so. Passed as a Completely Average student ._.b It actually felt kind of nice for the people who mattered to go over my work and tell me the facts in a flat-out, honest way, and tell me where my weaknesses are, and tell me they know I can do better. I WONDER IF THEY'VE EVER MADE A GIRL CRY AFTER THEY TOLD HER SHE PASSED BEFORE. They didn't like ...mmmost of it. Actually, I'm pretty sure I only passed because of two pages that they all liked that were more in a cartoony style. M-man, I'm glad I remembered I had those.
anyway now that they've all told me YOU NEED TO DO BETTER IN BASICALLY EVERYTHING, I feel like I can, at least. i can't slack off. They knooow I can do better. If I really give it my all, I can have a really good last year. I feel like I can go up to them and show them something and go "LOOK LOOK, HERE IS WHAT I DID, IS THIS BETTER" now.
orz and I passed out while writing this and set my alarm (????) and missed picking up aviy at 5. she's mmmaaaaadd

I am trying to wait for my hands to behave and be still so I can ink more, as they've decided to pussy out after 22 hours and start vibrating. Cut it outtttttt
I GUESS I SHOULD POINT OUT I HAVE AN INKSOME (KERBOX), AND A DREAMWIDTH?? (BOX), FOR ANYONE WHO IS MOVING PERMANENTLY? Man I make a point not to talk about RP in this journal since it's kinda my RP-FREE ZONE. But!! TO MY PLAYERBASE, after hearing some concerns over people dropping out because it'll become trendy or something: OH YOU KIDS :( Odds are very low that anyone that isn't played out already will suddenly drop on you. (I for one hadn't played with Aviy in camp in....forever. I felt WAY less sad upon realizing that.) It's just been opened up for those who have been thinking about it for a long time. Don't worry about your VERY ACTIVE FELLOWS dropping, as they are VERY ACTIVE. It's roleplay after all, and there's no sense leaving if it's still fun, and there's a lot of sense in leaving if it isn't. I for one am still having fun. \o/ And we're still getting like 30-60 apps a round, give or take no just GIVE 20 for counselors. YOUR MODS HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ಠ_ಠ
While on the subject of RP, I dropped Crucible :( I couldn't keep up, how sad is that. It was so fun thouugh. But hahaha I'm having so much fun over at Sabra la Tau. SO MUCH fun. I looove Cloud's team, and I love ALL the teams \o/ And I love that Cloud's name is Fluffy and it has already been used in VERY SERIOUS TEARY DRAMATIC THREADS. "FLUFFY!!" SCARLET CRIED, COVERED IN BLOOD. And I think Aviy and I haven't stretched a page in that in like... forever...

Uuuhhhh. In other newwws. . . we have been on an adventure to get movies to play on the playstation 3. We force-formatted my new jump drive from FAT32 to NTFS (I swear one of the command prompt popups said something to the effect of "IN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS, WE WILL HAVE TO DISCONNECT YOUR DRIVE'S SOUL Y/N"), so we could drag a file over 4 gigs onto it, and I was SO PROUD!!! Until the PS3 refused to read NTFS. ...So I had to reformat it to FAT32. :( ALL THAT ACCOMPLISHMENT WAAAAASTED.
Also I got 2 parking tickets in the past week >(

SO IN MY ART CRITICISM COURSE, we are talking about the power of ~BIOGRAPHY~ and how a description of an artist can completely change how that artist is viewed, for better or worse. It's pretty interesting. So we are supposed to WRITE OUR OWN AUTOBIOGRAPHY! And only 3 people have done it so far, and I am the fourth. SO...SO I GUESS I WILL PUT IT HERE? It's very rough and short seeing as I threw it down in about an hour for an art criticism course. But it does have a lot to do with myself being shaped as an artist, so if there is anyone out there who knows nothing about MY LIIIIFE and would like the crash course, this is me in a nutshell.

I heard a poetry slam over NPR a long time ago, and I have come to the conclusion that I will never find the clip that I am looking for, because all I remember from it is how it made me feel, and that's not gonna come up on Google. But I did find this.

♥ zoeycleybourne (or the infallible Leah) was over and I had her for TWO AND A HALF DAYS. SHE WAS ALL MIIIIIIIINE. It is so nice to see my best friend again D|
♥ My inking class is AWESOME and I LOVE IT. I am so happy to be using a Windsor Newton Series 7 brush, it makes me feel fancy.
♥ FMA ANIME: TWO DAYS UNTIL THE NEW FMA ANIME. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. It looks like they've got a new opening with an ice alchemist filler dude - I am all for a new crazy alchemist opening to fill in for doing the Leto arc over again, especially since it seems to involve everyone being badass. Hey, it's FMA - as Aviy said, it could be HORRIBLE, I will watch the whole thing anyway. AAAAAAH SO EXCITEEEEED.

This chapter is everything I love about Reborn, the girls are being hilarious and Reborn is floating around as a fairy giving commentary on Gokudera getting beaten up by his pussy which is never not funny. I love it so much, but it is so hard to get raws when they come out (to the point where I have no idea if I'm caught up or not), the manga itself is getting way less cohesive, and the translations are always terrible when they DO come out. I'm really glad I've got Nishi and Zexion in camp or I'd be way more behind than I am already. ALL THAT SAID. BENKEI IS MY FAVORITE CHICK IN THAT MANGA. I'M SURE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THE GLEE I AM FEELING WITH ALL THIS RECENT INSANE SHIT GOING DOWN.

Okay if you haven't seen it on your friendspage yet, the Sci Fi channel is changing its name to Syfy, because they don't want to be associated with geekiness. Relevant text:

Man it is like tablet musical chairs today. Cami called me a good half hour out of Savannah saying in a panic that she'd left her tablet in the computer lab. I head to the lab to check it out, and I find a tablet! But then it turns out to be the wrong dimensions to be Cami's.
Hopefully someone turned in Cami's tablet like an honest person. I took the other tablet home, since nobody was present in the tech box (presumably because it's spring break), and I'll turn it in later. If I'd just left it there it woulda gotten hella stolen. Heck I own a tablet exactly like it and a cintiq and I felt the devil whispering in my ear. THE SIREN CALL OF A LOOSE TABLET.
Still, that was WEIRD. Go in looking for a missing tablet and find one, but it's a different one? Wat. STOP LOSING YOUR EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT, PEERS.
I hope whoever lost the tablet will actually go to the tech booth once they get back from spring break. :(
